IL-23p19 Inhibitor · Humanised IgG4 mAb

Mirikizumab Omvoh®

Mirikizumab is a humanised IgG4 monoclonal antibody directed against the p19 subunit of interleukin-23. The SHIKARI® Mirikizumab portfolio supports two distinct research questions: quantitative measurement of mirikizumab concentration and qualitative detection of specific anti-mirikizumab antibodies.

Scientific Background

Why Mirikizumab is relevant to biological-drug monitoring research

Mirikizumab has clinically important target biology, indication-specific dosing and measurable systemic exposure, making drug concentration and immunogenicity relevant research variables. Scientific source ↗ · EMA source ↗

Mechanism

Molecular Target & Structure

Mirikizumab is a humanised IgG4 monoclonal antibody that selectively binds the p19 subunit of interleukin-23 and inhibits IL-23 signalling. Source ↗

Indications

Approved Indications

EMA-authorised uses include moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease in adults with an inadequate response, loss of response or intolerance to conventional or advanced therapy as specified in the label. EMA source ↗

Regulatory PK Context

IBD Regimen-Specific Exposure

FDA pharmacokinetic data provide separate induction and maintenance exposure references:

UC · 300 mg IV induction Ctrough,ss2.75 µg/mL
UC · 200 mg SC Q4W Ctrough1.70 µg/mL
Crohn’s · 300 mg SC Q4W Ctrough2.52 µg/mL

Regulatory exposure values are regimen- and population-specific and are not therapeutic targets. Values vary with dose, timing, formulation and study population. This page is for RUO product information and does not provide clinical guidance.

Kit Selection Guide

Which kit fits your research question?

Choose the drug-concentration assay or the qualitative anti-drug-antibody assay according to the required analytical output.

01
Quantify mirikizumab concentration
Use MIR-FD-OMV for quantitative mirikizumab measurement in human serum or plasma.
02
Detect antibodies to mirikizumab
Use MIR-QLS-OMV when the study requires a qualitative positive-or-negative anti-mirikizumab antibody result.
03
Study exposure and immunogenicity together
Add MIR-FD-OMV and MIR-QLS-OMV when the study design requires paired drug-concentration and qualitative antibody information.
04
Review the official product source
Use the matriksbiotek.com link on each assay card for the current official Q-MIR or S-ATMIR product record.
